Electrify your future.**About the role**The Physical Markets Trader plays a key role in managing AGL's wholesale electricity procurement costs by overseeing the real‐time operation of AGL's generation assets within the National Electricity Market (NEM). Working across an 8,000MW generation portfolio, the role is centred on short‐term optimisation—balancing fuel constraints, plant outages and regulatory obligations to ensure efficient and compliant 'll collaborate closely with colleagues across fuel, gas, operations and trading teams to translate market conditions into commercially sound and operationally effective decisions. The team operates in a dynamic 24/7 environment, and as part of this, you'll participate in a rotating roster that includes overnight and weekend shifts.
