Job Description

With rapid business growth and a strong momentum in the local market, you, being a Finance & Insurance (F&I;) Specialist at BYD Caroline Springs (a leading electric vehicle and clean energy company), play a crucial role in supporting sales by offering financial solutions, insurance products, and ensuring smooth transactions for customers.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about customer service, financial products, and building a long‑term career in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

1. Customer Financing Solutions

- Assist customers in securing auto loans, leases, or other financing options.
- Work with dealerships and BYD’s financing partners to secure competitive rates.
- Explain loan terms, interest rates, and payment structures to customers.
- Coordinate with insurance providers to ensure smooth policy issuance.

3. Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure all financial and insurance transactions comply with BYD policies and local regulations.
- Handle loan applications, credit checks, and contract processing.

4. Collaboration with Sales & Dealership Teams

- Work closely with the BYD senior management team and sales staff to provide seamless F&I; support.
- Train sales teams on financing promotions and insurance offerings.
- Attend sales meetings to align on targets and customer needs.

5. Customer Relationship Management

- Build trust by transparently explaining financial terms and conditions.
- Resolve customer concerns regarding payments, claims, or contract issues.
- Follow up with customers pre‑ and post‑sale for refinancing or additional services.

6. Data & Reporting

- Maintain accurate records of financing and insurance transactions.
- Report to BYD senior management on F&I; performance, dealership principal and market trends.

7. Staying Updated on BYD Products & Policies

- Keep up with BYD’s latest EV models, warranties, and financing promotions.
- Understand government incentives (e.g., EV tax credits, subsidies) to advise customers.

Key Skills for Success at BYD

- Must be a TEAM PLAYER
- 5+ years of experience in the automotive finance industry (highly preferred), preferably in an operational, product and/or sales role.
- Strong understanding of finance product drivers, profitability and delivery channels.
- Proven analytical and project management skills.
- Proven exposure partnering with senior management within a highly regulated environment.
- Solid understanding of the Toyota Way and TFA business practices.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills and the ability to tailor presentations according to the needs and varying levels of understanding of different audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence people.
