Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* To work closely with the Restaurant Management team in leading day-to-day operations efficiently
* To supervise and manage the Restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager
* To provide high standards of customer service at all times
* To oversee and assist in the supervision of floor staff, ensuring they maintain high standards of service and safety
* To provide assistance with on-the-job training of floor staff
* To maintain order of service according to the restaurant's quality and service standards
* To ensure correct operation and balancing of cash registers & daily reporting
* To cover extra shifts as required to ensure service standards are maintained
* To create a harmonious team-oriented environment amongst all staff within the restaurant
* To assist in planning and training for service improvements
* To maintain high standards of morale and personal appearance of all staff
* To take orders, serve food and beverages, along with clearing tables
* To ensure beverages are served to a consistent quality standard
* To ensure all tasks for setting up, cleaning, serving and closing are done correctly
* To ensure the safety of staff and patrons during service and after leaving
* To maintain hygienic food handling practices and cleanliness of all waiting staff
* To handle complaints according to guidelines and so that it leaves customers satisfied and impressed
* To maintain equipment in good working order, organizing repairs or improvements needed for greater efficiency
Requirements:
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Prior experience as Supervisor in a high-volume environment
* Ability to handle pressures of simultaneously assisting to coordinate a wide range of activities
* A true interest and passion for food, hospitality and people
* Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and outgoing friendly personality
* Pleasant, polite manner and maintain a neat and clean appearance
* Ability to contribute to foster a positive, efficient and inclusive organisational culture
* Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate high standards
* Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff
* Support the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager in the operational requirements of the Restaurant, including maintenance, KPI's, Restaurant appearance
* Exemplary communication skills
* Calm, organised and thrives in a high volume and busy environment
