Job Summary Join a rural shed construction team as a Roof Plumber.
Demonstrate experience in steel frame shed construction and metal roofing.
Perform various plumbing tasks including installation of roof sheeting and drainage systems.
We are looking for two full time, skilled Roof Plumbers to join our rural shed construction team.
Working within our structural steel shed building business, you should have demonstrated experience in the construction and roof plumbing industry.
Your Skills & Experience Experience and knowledge of building practices required in steel frame shed construction and residential and commercial metal roofing and roof plumbing as per the Duties and Responsibilities section.
Understand and apply quality control techniques.
Exercise good interpersonal and communication skills.
Perform work under supervision, independently under instruction and in a team environment.
Duties and Responsibilities Reporting to the Lead Shed Builder In the preparation of jobsites prior to the beginning of a project.
Reading and interpreting building design plans and Roof plumbing plans.
Installation of roof purlins and wall girts onto shed frames.
Installation of roof sheeting including trim deck and custom orb sheeting.
Install roof drainage systems including guttering and downpipes.
Undertaking completion works such as scribing and fixing ridge capping, barge capping, corner flashings.
Installation and fixing wall cladding.
May assist Erecting of steel columns and trusses.
Installation of metal roof and wall bracing into sheds.
Installation of metal roof and wall bridging and fly braces onto roofs.
Some basic operation of machinery and EWPs.
Qualifications and Work experience Certificate III in Roof Plumbing or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of work experience.
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
Have mathematical foundation skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-skilled team and cooperate with others.
Be able to problem solve when required and when unable to solve, report to Site Supervisor.
Ethics, integrity and honesty.
Enthusiastic and positive.
Able to work safely at heights.
Comply with all workplace health and safety procedures, rules and regulations.
Work Conditions Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis.
