Job Overview
AUSTRAC is seeking experienced accounting and finance professionals to fill two roles: Specialist, Financial Accounting and Specialist, Management Accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Accounting Specialist:
o Finalise end-of-month financial results, including reconciliations and journal entries.
o Ensure the integrity of data in the General Ledger and manage trial balance processes.
o Contribute to agency-wide compliance with financial management policy and relevant legislation.
* Management Accounting Specialist:
o Maintain and implement procedures for external and internal budgeting, costing, and management reporting.
o Coordinate and assist budget holders in preparing internal budgets and monthly forecasts (operating and capital).
o Action budgeting and forecasting, reporting and variance analysis; and costing of new business initiatives.
Eligibility Criteria
* Must be an Australian citizen at the time of application.
* Will need to undertake AUSTRAC's pre-engagement checks.
* Will need to obtain and maintain an ongoing Baseline Clearance.
