DETAILS
Clinical Mental Health Nurse – Child & Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS)
Contract Duration: 31 March 2025 – 29 June 2025
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
We are seeking a Mental Health Nurse to join the Child & Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) team. This role is ideal for experienced CYMHS clinicians with Queensland Health and CIMHA experience, who are passionate about providing high-quality mental health care to children and young people.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Queensland Health & CIMHA experience required
Registered with AHPRA as a Mental Health Nurse
Experience in child & youth mental health services
Ability to work within Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM schedule
ESSENTIAL DOCUMENTATION
- AHPRA Registration
- Two referee checks, including: One from a line manager within the last three month, & one from a referee who has worked with the candidate within the last twelve months
- Proof of Australian working rights (certified copy)
- Criminal History Check (valid within three years)
- Certified identification documents (three required, including at least one photo ID)
- Certified qualification documents
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
CERTIFICATES
- BLS competency
- Hand hygiene
- Manual & patient handling
- Infection control
- Aggressive behaviour management
- Medication management (including QPHS regulations)
- Mandatory reporting of child abuse & neglect
- Responsibilities under the Aged Care Act & Elder Abuse regulations
- Updated immunisation & serology evidence
***All certification must be completed by a Justice of the Peace, Commissioner of Declarations, Barrister, Solicitor, or Notary Public.
