Based out of Perth on a FIFO 8:6 (days only) roster, you'll be a key part of the maintenance and upgrade team, working with advanced technologies including TETRA, fibre, microwave links, and MineStar systems.In this hands-on role, you'll ensure the availability and integrity of site-based communications systems across remote rail and mining locations.
You'll work across a variety of mobile and fixed infrastructure platforms, including two-way radios, Cisco mesh networks, microwave PTP/PMP links, and fibre.Key responsibilities include:Monitor performance of site wireless systems and field radio coverageConduct PM inspections of towers, trailers, and mobile communications assetsInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot Sepura TETRA radios and onboard hardwareRelocate communications trailers as required to maintain coverageRespond to incidents logged through ServiceNow and provide on-call supportMaintain TETRA database and digital fleet mapSupport infrastructure projects and system improvements as directedCollaborate with maintenance teams and field personnel to resolve issues quicklyRequirementsYou are a qualified communications technician with experience supporting OT or comms infrastructure in heavy industry, mining, or rail environments.
