We support diversity, inclusion, and flexible workplace arrangements.About the Opportunity:We are seeking a Facilities Manager or Assets Manager responsible for the day-to-day management of properties on behalf of the South Australian Government. The assets include, but are not limited to, schools, hospitals, courts, police stations, and other public assets, with responsibilities covering breakdown and maintenance, preventative maintenance, and small project management.This role is based in Port Lincoln and is a permanent full-time position.Key Duties include, but are not limited to:Identify risks and opportunities related to maintenance and capital works, developing plans to achieve targets and optimize lifecycle costs.Support the Property Asset Management team's strategic and asset planning initiatives.Analyze call-outs, reactive maintenance, and requests to inform maintenance plans and schedules.Be the first point of contact for technical, facilities management, and asset maintenance issues.Monitor contractor performance and ensure contracts are executed within scope and budget.Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during contract execution.Assist with audits and inspections.Build and maintain relationships with agencies, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.Monitor and report on the delivery of work by subcontractors.Manage records and reporting to ensure performance standards are met.Who Should Apply - Skills and Qualifications:Experience in facilities management, asset management, or related fields; career changers with transferable skills are encouraged to apply.Experience in local government, asset management, field service, property management, or related industries.Trade background is not necessary but knowledge of property maintenance and management is required.Project management qualification or relevant experience.Current driver's license is required.Culture:Ventia values its employees and fosters a highly engaged workforce.
