**Job Description:**
The Aboriginal Health Worker/Practitioner role entails providing culturally sensitive and holistic healthcare services to the Indigenous community.
* Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in accordance with data protection protocols.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans that cater to the unique needs of clients.
* Conducting health assessments, screenings, and vaccinations as part of comprehensive care.
* Designing and implementing health education programs tailored to the community's specific requirements.
* Advocating for the healthcare needs of the Indigenous community through effective communication and partnership-building.
* Pursuing ongoing professional development to stay abreast of best practices in Indigenous health care.
The ideal candidate will possess formal qualifications in Aboriginal Health Work or Aboriginal Health Practice, demonstrated experience in a similar role, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and health beliefs, a commitment to delivering high-quality, culturally safe care, ability to work collaboratively within a team, strong organizational skills, and a valid driver's license.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Aboriginal Health Work or Aboriginal Health Practice. Experience working with Indigenous communities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, strong organizational and time management skills, and current driver's license.
