Job Overview
The HumeLink West project is a high-voltage electricity transmission initiative connecting Wagga Wagga, Maragle, and Bannaby in regional NSW, significantly enhancing the capacity of the electricity network in Australia's eastern states.
We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our team, responsible for providing strong focus on cost trending and forecasting, establishing and monitoring project baseline expenditure, producing regular end-of-month cost reports, maintaining risk registers to include change impacts, and monitoring and reporting on cost actuals vs budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide accurate and timely cost information to support business decisions
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and clients
* Develop and implement cost management strategies to ensure projects are delivered within allocated funds
* Monitor and report on project costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in business, commercial, engineering, finance, or similar fields
* Minimum 5 years' practical experience on major infrastructure projects
* Demonstrated expertise with cost management tools (Excel, SAP, Power BI, SharePoint)
* Highly developed communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
* Strong conflict resolution skills, coupled with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment
