As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for spearheading the planning, organization, and control of all warehouse activities to ensure seamless, efficient, and high-quality operations.
You will lead a dedicated team of warehouse professionals, manage stock and freight logistics, and drive continuous improvement in warehouse performance, productivity, and safety.
* Lead and manage warehouse staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
* Oversee the receipt, inspection, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
* Implement and maintain effective WHS policies, promoting a culture of safety and risk awareness.
* Conduct regular toolbox meetings, workplace inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
* Manage stock control, including slow-moving stock and inventory discrepancies, to optimize warehouse efficiency and reduce waste.
* Liaise with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and freight companies to facilitate smooth communication and resolve issues promptly.
* Maintain and improve warehouse layout and presentation to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
* Report on warehouse performance and contribute to quality and safety initiatives, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Leadership & Management (or equivalent).
* Current High Risk Forklift Licence.
* Proven experience in a similar supervisory role.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Solid understanding of warehousing principles and safety practices.
* Computer literacy and ability to manage warehouse reporting systems.
