The Claims Management Group plays a crucial role in delivering an effective workers' compensation scheme for the Australian Public Service.

Two sub teams operate within the Claims Administration and Income Support team: Income Support and Financial and Client Services. The former handles incapacity payments, while the latter undertakes administrative claim functions.


Key Responsibilities

* Client support functions, including handling claims calls and processing tasks.
* Non-complex provider payment processing and accurate receipting and classification of claim documentation.

Financial and Client Services Administration Officers contribute to key performance indicators and report to Senior Claims Payment Services Officers or Senior Client Services Officers.


Income Administration Officer Role Overview

Income Administration Officers provide timely and accurate incapacity processing activities, determining simple normal weekly earnings/hours, processing Claim for Time off Work forms, and supporting debt recovery functions.

These officers undertake incapacity tasks within required timeframes and compliant with set procedures, providing accurate receipting and recording of agency records.


Eligibility and Specific Conditions of Employment

* Character clearance.
* Health clearance.
* Six months probationary period for new engagements.
* Security Clearance: Baseline.
