About the Role
This position entails driving sales and growth of a portfolio comprised of hospital injectable generic products.
To succeed, you must establish strong strategic relationships with key health professionals, including Directors of Pharmacy and Procurement Managers, ensuring the successful launch and growth of these products that make a real difference to patient care.
The ideal candidate will possess commercial acumen coupled with therapeutic area expertise and demonstrate exceptional analytical, numerical, and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve and surpass sales targets for the hospital injectable portfolio.
* Identify new business opportunities and execute growth strategies.
* Negotiate account-level contracts ahead of tenders.
* Monitor wholesaler stock levels and ensure contract compliance.
Sales Growth and Development
* Achieve and exceed sales targets for the hospital injectable portfolio.
* Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities, implementing effective growth strategies.
* Negotiate and secure favourable account-level contracts prior to tendering processes.
* Continuously monitor wholesaler stock levels to maintain contract compliance.
Strategic Partnership Development
* Establish long-term partnerships with hospital purchasers and key health bodies.
* Maintain monthly Key Account Plans and analyse sales competitor data to inform strategic decisions.
Customer Engagement and Influence
* Bolster relationships with hospital stakeholders through regular engagement.
* Foster clinically relevant connections with key departments.
* Cultivate cross-functional collaboration within the organisation to support overarching strategies.
Professional Growth and Compliance
* Remain up-to-date with the latest therapeutic knowledge and industry developments.
* Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements, as well as compliance standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrate strategic thinking, planning, and tactical execution of marketing strategies.
* Possess strong analytical, numerical, and organisational abilities.
* Exhibit excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
* Proven success in pharmaceutical sales, preferably within the Australian hospital market.
* Commercial Key Account Management experience is preferred.
* Tertiary qualifications in Science, Medical, or Business Marketing are advantageous.
* A valid full driver's license is required.
* A willingness to travel across NSW, with occasional interstate travel.
