LO-GO Appointments is assisting a regional Queensland Council (South East / Burnett corridor) with the recruitment of an experienced Compliance Officer for a 6-month Temp Full-Time assignment.
This role will see you delivering proactive and reactive compliance services to support community safety and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities:
* Investigate breaches including animal management, overgrown properties, abandoned vehicles, noise complaints and permits.
* Issue compliance and infringement notices supported by evidence.
* Prepare briefs of evidence and represent Council in Court or QCAT when required.
* Provide community education on Local Laws and relevant legislation.
* Participate in the on-call roster and assist with impoundment duties as required.
What you need:
* Demonstrated experience in Local Laws, compliance investigation or law enforcement (Local Government highly regarded).
* Strong report writing and evidence preparation skills.
* Sound judgement and ability to manage conflict.
* Current unrestricted C Class Driver Licence.
* Relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
