The Opportunity

As a Senior Information Sharing Officer (PRIS) you will work in a pivotal role in the coordination of PRIS compliance activities in alignment with the PRIS Operating Model and as part of the Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing team. The role supports these activities to ensure that compliance actions are aligned with business needs. This ensures advancements in the privacy and information sharing space are leveraged to enhance business capability, awareness and compliance.

The position is also an integral part of the team that is responsible for maintaining compliance across: Information Classification within the Department (in alignment with the WA Information Classification Policy); the establishment of an Information Asset Register as a single source of truth for all Communities Information Assets; the Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing (PRIS) Act 2024; and the Privacy Act 1988, to ensure that Communities avoid legal, regulatory, and reputational risks including monetary fines and penalties.

In this role you will be responsible for (including but not limited to):

* Ensuring Information Sharing Agreements are completed in accordance with legislative requirements and organisational standards,
* Monitoring compliance to legislation and Communities policies and procedures,
* Undertaking complex research, analysis, reviews and evaluation of documentation (procedures) in the Information Governance space to identify gaps and recommend actions to ensure capability uplift and improve compliance maturity,
* Providing authoritative advice on information sharing matters to internal stakeholders, including project teams, contract managers, and senior leaders,
* Acting as the primary information sharing contact, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance within business areas,
* Monitoring the compliance of information sharing measures and safeguards, including KPIs and dashboard metrics.
