House Manager Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of House Manager within our Youth Residential Care programs in Hobart, Tasmania.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the residence house, ensuring a safe and culturally appropriate environment for children and young people.
This is a hands-on role that requires most time spent on site in the home or in the community.
The House Manager will mentor a team of residential support workers in providing purposeful support to young people in residential care with high and complex needs.
The key responsibilities include building professional relationships with children and young people, ensuring the home is emotionally and physically safe, managing staff to work as a team in the best interests of children and young people, and coordinating the intake and transition of new children and young people into the home.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or relevant qualification.
* Experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and disadvantage.
* Experience in the coordination and management of 24-hour residential services for vulnerable people.
* Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team.
* Current Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.
* First Aid and CPR Certificates.
* Completed Safe Environments training.
* Willingness to undergo psychological assessment.
