An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate individual to join DEECA Regions as Executive Assistant to the Regional Director. As the Executive Assistant, you will provide high quality secretarial and administrative support to the Regional Director. This includes management of correspondence and briefing processes, office management, stakeholder liaison, and other support including meeting management.
Supporting the Regional Director, the role requires a proactive self-starter with an ability to work with limited supervision in a complex, sensitive and fast paced environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong skills in communication, organisation and planning, teamwork, and stakeholder relations.
To be successful in this role, you will have great attention to detail and be highly organised. Through your executive administration experience, you will have a strong focus on customer service and a good understanding of government processes. You will be flexible, collaborative and be able to work in teams and independently.
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
1. Demonstrated experience providing executive administration support.
2. Sound knowledge of the processes, policies and procedures within government and understanding of public sector accountability.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including preparing and reviewing briefs, letters, emails and reports.
4. Strong initiative, attention to detail, discretion and organisational skills.
5. Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the ability to meet deadlines in pressured situations.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
6. Executive administration experience required.
This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Bendigo with hybrid work arrangements available.
