As Director, you will specifically: Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Manage the research and evaluation programs and frameworks and liaise and negotiate with other agencies and stakeholders on a range of evaluations and research initiatives.
Undertake contract management and approval and partnership processes within a multi-disciplinary setting.
Prepare papers, submissions, briefs, memoranda and letters for the Senior Executive Director, Deputy Director-General, Director-General and Minister on complex policy, strategic issues.
Contribute to a agile and creative team setting focused on generating and actioning innovative ideas.
Represent the department at a senior level as required, including at interdepartmental and intergovernmental meetings and associated management committees.
Manage the human, financial and operational resources of the work unit to ensure the achievement of strategic and business objectives.
Develop and advise on strategic directions and planning priorities and contribute to setting the strategic agenda for the Department of Youth Justice and Victim Support.
Drive the departmental vision, goals and values and proactively lead and manage in a style consistent with the vision, values and priorities of the Department of Youth Justice and Victim Support.
