Service Scheduler

IMPartners is partnering with Connekt Plumbing Services, a well-established commercial and service plumbing business in South Australia, to recruit an experienced Service Scheduler for their busy service division.
This role is suited to someone who is comfortable managing competing priorities, making real-time scheduling decisions, and keeping communication clear between technicians, customers and management.
You will support the service team by coordinating jobs, information and workflow across the day. The Service Manager retains overall responsibility for performance and numbers, allowing this role to focus on what it does best: keeping the service operation organised, responsive and flowing.
Role focus
You will be trusted to manage daily and forward scheduling, respond to reactive and emergency jobs, and adjust plans as priorities shift. This is a hands-on coordination role in a live service environment, not a purely administrative position.
System use is central to the role, including ServiceM8 and Vista (or similar scheduling platforms), with accurate records and clear job notes essential to smooth service delivery.
Key responsibilities
* Managing daily and forward scheduling for service technicians
* Coordinating reactive and emergency jobs alongside planned maintenance via Service M8/Vista
* Acting as the first point of contact for incoming service enquiries
* Communicating clearly with technicians, customers and internal stakeholders
* Maintaining accurate job records, notes and schedules within the system
* Adjusting schedules throughout the day as priorities change
* Escalating issues appropriately to the Service Manager when required
* Supporting smooth service delivery through strong organisation and follow-up
About you
* Proven experience as a Service Scheduler or in a similar scheduling role within a reactive service environment
* Scheduling experience from any industry is welcome
* Experience managing emergency or same-day jobs is highly regarded
* Experience with ServiceM8 is highly regarded
* Experience with Vista or similar systems is advantageous
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Comfortable dealing with technicians and customers, can hold professional boundaries when needed, and stay level-headed when the day doesn't go to plan.
* You value structure and systems, communicate clearly, and take pride in keeping work moving efficiently.
* Calm, organised approach in fast-paced environments
* Comfortable working with change, system improvements and evolving processes
Trade or plumbing experience is helpful but not essential. Strong scheduling judgement and service coordination experience matter most.
