Role Overview
The Operation Support Lead will oversee warehouse floor supervision, dispatch and billing, and logistic fulfilment operations at the Cheltenham site. This salaried role manages a team of five warehouse operators, ensures efficient processing of customer orders, maintains delivery accuracy, and upholds DIFOT metrics. Reporting to the Support Services Manager, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Schedule
Monday to Friday; no weekend shifts required.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise a team of five warehouse operators, including a team leader, to ensure operational efficiency and timely, accurate delivery of customer orders.
* Oversee warehouse floor supervision, manage customer orders, billing processes, and transport arrangements.
* Collaborate with Production and Scheduling on production status and order readiness.
* Investigate and resolve billing and receipting issues and process returns.
* Maintain accurate reports on KPIs, order accuracy, and DIFOT metrics.
* Support inventory management, cycle counts, and stocktake activities.
* Attend weekly meetings with the national logistic team and third‐party logistic partners.
* Foster a culture of safety and compliance with safety protocols and practices.
* Participate in safety observation walks and report incidents and hazards promptly.
* Assist with floor tasks when needed and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
* Strong leadership and supervisory skills with previous experience in a warehouse and logistics environment.
* Excellent communication and relationship‐building abilities.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities efficiently.
* High attention to detail and strong administration skills.
* Proficiency in Warehouse Management System (WMS), Microsoft Office, and ERP systems (BPCS/SAP).
* Logical and methodical problem‐solving skills.
* A 'can‐do' attitude, willingness to learn, and a continuous learning mindset.
* Ability to coach team members and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
