THE OPPORTUNITY
Viva Leisure, the parent company of hiit republic and one of Australia's leading fitness providers, is seeking passionate and motivated Coaches to join our studio in Coburg on a casual basis.
Founded in ****, Viva Leisure operates a growing network of fitness clubs across the health and leisure industry.
We are proud to be Australia's largest independent health club operator and the first fitness facility provider to be listed on the Australian Securities Exchange.
As a Coach at hiit republic, you will report to the Studio Manager and be responsible for delivering group training sessions that are fun, inclusive, motivating, and results-driven.
Our programs combine HIIT, strength, and conditioning principles to redefine the group fitness experience and help every member unleash their inner athlete.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to deliver high-energy performance classes and contribute to a supportive, community-focused environment.
You will play a key role in creating exceptional member experiences while maintaining and increasing class participation through consistent service and coaching excellence.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about fitness, eager to grow, and confident in delivering our pre-programmed training blocks and signature hiit republic workouts.
With programming taken care of, you will focus on each member's journey, provide exceptional support, and help build on an already strong and engaged community.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with:
Essential Qualifications
Certificate III in Fitness
CPR Certification (current and valid)
First Aid Certification (current and valid)
For roles in Creche, Swim School, and Group Fitness Instruction (GFI) in QLD: a valid Working with Children or Working with Vulnerable People Check is required.

Desirable Qualifications
Certificate IV in Fitness
Skills & Experience
Proficiency in first aid procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe training environment.
Strong knowledge of fitness training methods, exercise principles, and program delivery.
Familiarity with fitness technology, equipment, and modern instructional techniques.
Ability to consistently promote and uphold safety standards for members and staff.
Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
Motivational, adaptable communication style that engages diverse member groups.
Effective time-management skills to ensure smooth class pacing and studio scheduling.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, foster inclusivity, and engage groups.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver high-quality group fitness classes with professionalism, including setup, pack down, and safe use of equipment.
Role-model Viva Leisure values and uphold high standards of behaviour and conduct.
Motivate and support members, ensuring correct technique and fostering strong member relationships to encourage retention and growth.
Collaborate effectively with studio staff and the broader Viva Leisure team.
Maintain compliance with Work Health & Safety policies, reporting hazards and incidents promptly.
Stay current with certifications and adhere to all relevant fitness industry standards and facility procedures.
Promote gym services and assist members with enquiries, escalating issues to the Studio Leader when necessary.
