**This Position will require you to be able to work 24h over 7 days per week on a rotating roster.**

**About the role**:
This role is responsible for providing an effective, courteous, efficient telephony service and administrative service including revenue management, secretarial support services, data input and management, and customer and team support services for the Emergency Department. You will provide exceptional customer service for visitors and consumers both face to face and via telephone. You will assist with live data after hours, ensuring all patients are in the right place at the right time, and provide administrative support overnight for all sites in the Lower Hunter Sector
- Maitland, Kurri Kurri, Cessnock, and Dungog.

**Where you'll be working**:
This role is located at The Maitland Hospital as part of the Switch / Reception Team. We are a small team, however we play a pivotal role in patient access and care. Maitland is located in a vibrant area filled with heritage, culture, natural beauty, and gourmet dining. From gold rush towns and historical museums to pristine waterways and beaches, there are always exciting places to see and things to do in the area. Within half an hour's drive, you have the beach, vineyards, airport, and Lake Macquarie, but outside your door, you have a great community to be a part of.

**About you**:

- You thrive in a customer service orientated role.
- Ability to work under high pressure and make decisions during peak periods of activity.
- Enjoy working as part of a team however, is also comfortable working autonomously.
- Must be available for a variety of shifts including night shifts on a rotating 7-day roster
