Safety Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Safety Professional to join our team. As an Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Business Partner, you will play a critical role in driving a proactive safety culture across the organisation.


About the Role:

* This is a permanent, full-time position based out of Western Sydney.

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar environment and be able to provide expert advice on WHS legislation, policies, and risk mitigation strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Partner with operational leaders to embed a safety-first culture and drive accountability.
2. Lead incident investigations with robust root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
3. Develop and deliver WHS policies, risk assessments, and safety training programs.
4. Conduct regular safety audits and site risk assessments, identifying and resolving gaps.
5. Support RTW programs in collaboration with HR and external rehab providers.
6. Manage WHS documentation and ensure compliance with ISO 45001 or equivalent standards.
7. Analyse safety data to report on trends, performance metrics, and continuous improvement opportunities.
8. Facilitate safety committees, toolbox talks, and worker consultation initiatives.

You will work closely with department leaders, front line teams, and key stakeholders to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health and safety systems.


About You:

* Passionate about all things Safety.
* Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (Diploma preferred).
* 4+ years' experience in a Safety advisor or Coordinator role, ideally within service, manufacturing, or logistics.
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management frameworks, and safety systems.
* Experience with workers compensation is highly regarded.
* RTW Coordinator training and experience managing workplace injuries and rehabilitation.
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
* Competent with HSE systems (e.g., Donesafe) and safety reporting tools.
* Highly organised, detail-focused, and solutions-oriented.
