Emergency Medicine Consultant
As an Emergency Medicine Consultant, you will lead the assessment and management of acute and complex emergency presentations, providing expert clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary Emergency Department. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based emergency care, mentoring junior medical staff, collaborating closely with nursing and allied health teams, and contributing to the ongoing development and innovation of the department.

Recent Stage 1 redevelopment has delivered modern imaging, cancer, and renal facilities, with Stage 2 expansion planned to further enhance inpatient capacity and clinical spaces. The Emergency Department manages a broad and diverse case mix and works closely with general medicine consultants and multidisciplinary teams, supported by strong referral pathways to major tertiary centres.
Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
* Specialist registration with AHPRA and FACEM, with at least 12 months of recent experience
* Currently enrolled on the ACEM Training Program
* Recently qualified Australian or New Zealand FACEM
* IMGs with an upcoming ACEM interview date
* IMGs assessed by ACEM and deemed substantially comparable
