We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Technician Trainee to join our team.
About the Role
The primary objective of this position is to work on automated systems, performing preventative and corrective maintenance. As a Mechanical Technician Trainee, you will assist teams to ensure maximum system availability and contribute to increasing equipment reliability by improving processes.
Main Responsibilities
* Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on automated systems, including electrical and mechanical systems.
* Detect and rectify electrical/Mechanical faults on automated systems for equipment such as storage and retrieval cranes, conveyor belts, robotic arms, and AGV forklifts.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure maximum system availability, which can involve general flow control/system operator level tasks or working with onsite automation specialists.
* Contribute to increasing equipment reliability by continuously improving the way of working and processes on site.
* Work in an environment that prioritizes safety culture.
Requirements
* A solid mechanical aptitude.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office and comfort using computers.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Good physical fitness.
* Comfortable working at heights.
* A highly motivated individual with a passion for learning and development.
