PLANNER SCHEDULER - MANUFACTURING & ENGINEERING
Employer: Large, privately owned engineering business - leaders in innovative design, manufacture, supply and commissioning of high quality, special purpose machinery for a wide range of industries, including Rail, Defence, Engineering and Construction in Australia and overseas.
Location / Status: AU$100,000 - AU$150,000 per annum + Super.
Permanent role.
31/8/25 date reference may be included for internal tracking.
This is a new position that will involve various tasks such as Planning & Scheduling.

Role Summary: Significant role, part of the management team.
The Planner & Scheduler will work with the General Engineering Team to ensure the smooth flow of work through the manufacturing facility after receiving instruction from the Sales/Engineering Department.
The senior Planner Scheduler will create purchasing lists for jobs and work collaboratively with the Production Supervisor and direct shop floor staff as needed.
Flexibility with skills and the ability to work on various jobs and problems is required.
Key Responsibilities (examples):
Convert information into manufacturing plans through planning, scheduling, collaboration and quality assurance.
Develop and maintain manufacturing schedules to support on-time delivery.
Coordinate with Sales, Engineering and Production teams to align priorities and resources.
Prepare purchasing lists and liaise with suppliers as required.
Support continuous improvement and adapt to changing production demands.

Mechanical trade or engineering background.
Proven experience in planning & scheduling within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in planning and scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
