Job Description
The role of Fixed Plant Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be to provide a safe and efficient facility through the execution of planned maintenance, fault finding, breakdown repairs, and opportune maintenance.
You'll be part of a high-performing team supported by your leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. A flexible 7/7 day shift roster which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.
Working a residential roster and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role will require you to:
1. Complete preventative/corrective/breakdown/operational maintenance for all equipment in the fixed plant area, including but not limited to, conveyors, motor/gearbox shaft alignment, axial flow and centrifugal pumps.
2. Conduct routine inspections of fixed plant assets including automatic lubrication systems and determine repair action when required.
3. Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with company policies and procedures.
4. Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects by increasing safety whilst reducing risk and cost.
5. Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard/specification.
6. Isolate equipment for maintenance and operational tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Key Requirements:
* A mechanical engineering/fitting trade qualification.
* A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
* Respect for others and an inclusive mindset.
* Ability to work autonomously and within a small team environment.
* Good communication skills and liaising with contractors.
* Working at heights, EWP, forklift, confined space.
* A manual C-class Australian driver's licence (HR desirable).
