About the role
The UAL Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Team promotes safe workplaces by providing professional advice and expertise through a business partnering model and shared safety responsibilities.
* Provide Workplace Health and Safety advice, support, training, and expertise to management and staff
* Conduct audits, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of WH&S performance
* Support local Health and Safety Committees and develop Safety Representatives
* Promote initiatives related to health, safety, wellbeing, and fitness for work
* Assist the People Services Team in delivering services considering staff, volunteers, visitors, and clients' safety and wellbeing
* Develop and maintain administrative processes supporting the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing functions
This is a permanent part-time role, working 3 or 4 days across Monday to Friday. Flexibility is available regarding your availability. Travel within Tasmania is required, so access to your own vehicle is necessary.

You are passionate about making a difference and empowering residents/clients to maintain their self-esteem and independence.
This is the place for you if you:
* Hold tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety, minimum Cert IV WHS
* Have strong knowledge of safety legislation, regulations, standards
* Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, incident investigations
* Understand risk management strategies in workplace safety
* Know about fitness for work requirements and their relation to Fair Work legislation
* Experience in aged care or health industry is highly regarded
* Knowledge of safety and aged care compliance is highly regarded
* Are committed to the BEST workplace culture

* Current Working With Children & Vulnerable People card
* Ongoing flu vaccinations
* Ability to pass a national police clearance
