Your new role
We are seeking a seasoned Implementation Engineer to lead the technical architecture for a major HRIS implementation and drive broader ICT environment improvements for a leading aged care organization. While the immediate focus is on deploying integrated HR, Payroll, and Rostering systems, this role carries whole-of-systems accountability-ensuring the HRIS operates as part of a cohesive enterprise architecture alongside clinical systems (care documentation, resident management), back-office platforms (finance, procurement, facilities), and future digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own the end-to-end architecture for HRIS and related enterprise systems, ensuring functional fit and seamless integration across organizational operations.
* Design and embed ERP-type applications into business processes to support aged care service delivery, regulatory compliance, and business intelligence.
* Develop and enforce architecture standards across system integration patterns, data governance frameworks, API strategies, security architecture, and user experience design.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology solutions with operational needs and strategic objectives.
* Drive modernization of the ICT environment while maintaining operational continuity in a compliance-heavy sector.
Critical Requirements:
* Proven experience operating across enterprise application layers, not just technical deployment but embedding systems into complex operational environments.
* Strong background in health sector architecture-experience in hospitals, health departments, community health, or public sector organizations where you've delivered solutions for 24/7 operations, clinical and administrative system integration, and regulatory compliance.
* Deep understanding of how workforce systems (rostering, payroll, award compliance) interconnect with care delivery systems and regulatory reporting.
* Direct aged care experience is highly valued; strong health/public sector enterprise architecture credentials will be well-regarded given Tasmania's specialized market.
