Job Role Summary
* Patient Liaison Officer at a reputable healthcare organization
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact for patients, clinicians, and health funds regarding pre-admission, admission, discharge, billing, and debtors follow-up.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date information within patient administration systems by coordinating patient admission processes, completing required financial/admission paperwork, and collaborating with other departments to optimize patient flow and experience.
Resolve patient queries regarding their coverage, demonstrate extensive knowledge of health fund contract requirements and associated processes/procedures, and clearly communicate relevant health fund information and financial considerations to patients and key stakeholders.
Provide accurate quotations of out-of-pocket expenses for self-funding and insured patients, liaise with doctors' secretaries and specialist nurses to obtain item numbers and prosthesis amounts, and maintain relationships with liaison partners such as health funds, doctors & staff, specialist nurses, and other departments.
