Responsibilities
* Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle components
* Repair and replace worn or defective parts and reassemble mechanical components
* Perform scheduled servicing and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles
* Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs to ensure proper performance
* Carry out brake, steering, suspension, transmission, and engine repairs
* Use diagnostic equipment and specialised tools to identify faults
* Maintain accurate service records and report findings to management
* Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety and quality standards
* Inspect vehicles and issue recommendations for additional repairs where required
* Work collaboratively with the workshop team to achieve operational targets
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant automotive qualification
* Minimum 1–3 years of local Australian automotive workshop experience
* Strong diagnostic and problem‐solving skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Good communication and customer service skills
