Smithfield Central Vets is a family owned Veterinary Clinic located 10 minutes from the centre of Cairns. We offer a wide range of services for companion animals, including specialised musculoskeletal rehabilitation services for small animals and horses. As well as GP Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, we offer Complimentary Medicine options to our patients and Veterinarian Chiropractic Services.
We have the facilities and equipment of a larger clinic, with the ability to follow through and give continuity of care for our patients. Holistic medicine is at the core of our values.
We are looking for an enthusiastic vet nurse who is looking for the opportunity to gain experience in every aspect of running a veterinary clinic.

What we are looking for:
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing qualification or equivalent
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
• Exceptional organisation, communication, customer service skills and attention to detail
• Empathy towards our patients, clients and team members
• Minimum 2 years' veterinary nursing experience
• Knowledge of Rx Works ideal but not essential
We know that the industry is under immense pressure for more staff, and understand it's hard to leave your current position.
