About the Role
We are seeking a confident and reliable Safety Officer / Crowd Controller to join the team at Commercial Hotel Nambour. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who brings a strong presence, sound judgement, and the ability to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all staff and patrons.
You will work directly with venue managers to ensure smooth operations across busy service periods, events, and late-night trade.
This is more than just a security role — we are looking for someone who is proactive, team-oriented, and willing to assist across general hospitality duties when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain a safe and secure environment for patrons and staff
* Monitor venue entry and manage crowd control
* De-escalate situations calmly and professionally
* Work closely with venue managers during service and peak trade
* Support bar operations through bar backing and glass collection
* Assist with general floor duties and all-round hospitality tasks
* Ensure compliance with venue policies
About You
* Previous experience in security or crowd control (preferred)
* Presence
* Strong communication skills and confident presence
* Calm under pressure with the ability to read situations early
* Team player mentality — willing to step in wherever needed
* Professional presentation and reliable work ethic
