Location: St Anne's Catholic Primary School, Sarina (Rockhampton – Sarina, QLD)
Position: Facilities Officer (Groundsperson)
Commencement Date: As soon as possible
Employment Status: Term-time continuing
Hours per week: 25 hpw
Hourly rate: Services Staff Level 1 – $31.20 – $32.19 per hour

Responsibilities
* Securing grounds and equipment – keeping the school safe
* Mowing, trimming and fertilising lawns and turf areas
* Repairing and maintaining irrigation systems
* Weeding, planting and fertilising gardens
* Outdoor cleaning using a high‐pressure water cleaner
* Assisting with minor building maintenance – e.g., touch‐up painting and other minor repairs
* Assembling, moving, and relocating furniture
* Assisting with the set‐up of spaces for school events
* Gardening and general caretaking of school buildings and gardens
* Working with other grounds staff, as required
* Rubbish and waste management
* Working with contractors to oversee major repairs and maintenance
Qualifications & Experience
The successful applicant will have relevant experience and an understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic Education. In addition, you will have excellent time‐management skills and well‐developed interpersonal skills.
Mandatory Requirements
* A current valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (WWC Act) and valid Suitability Notice
* Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
