QUALITY CONTROL OFFICER – BDS MECHANICAL - GOLD COAST
BDS Mechanical is currently seeking a full-time Quality Control Officer to join our Queensland team. This permanent position will be based at our Gold Coast branch in Arundel and will play a key role in ensuring processes are effectively implemented and procedures are consistently adhered to across our Queensland operations. BDS Mechanical Repairs Aus is a privately owned and expanding company delivering comprehensive mechanical, auto-electrical, and welding services both in our workshops and on-site. Operating 22 permanent workshop locations across Queensland and more than 160 field service units, we provide coverage across over 600,000 km² throughout Queensland and Western Australia - ensuring reliable support wherever it’s needed.
Experience, skills and qualifications:
* Previous experience in a quality control position or strong administration knowledge in the automotive industry
* Experience with job cards, parts, workshop procedures
* XERO experience a bonus but can be trained
* Employment Hero experience a bonus
* Experience with invoicing and analysing quotes
* Sound PC skills
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Ability to priorities workloads and work well under pressure
* Able to speak up when issues arise
* Attention to detail
Your job duties include:
* Quality control of timesheets, job cards, quotes and making sure each of them are being captured correctly
* Ensure BDS processes are in place and procedures are being followed
* Approving invoices and quoting jobs
* Emailing and strong communication
* Data entry
* Timesheet approval and quality checks through Employment Hero
* Training new managers on the QC processes
* Reporting to upper management
