As a Careers Advisor, you will guide students through career exploration, subject selection, vocational pathways, university applications, and employment readiness. You will be a trusted mentor, helping students build confidence in their choices and navigate the transition from school to the wider world.

Description

Skills and Experiences
- Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and to actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school.
- Ability to apply appropriate knowledge to plan and prepare contemporary career education, workplace learning programs, and provide advice which meets the diverse characteristics, needs, and learning styles of students.
- Knowledge of the NSW curriculum and ability to develop, plan, and implement strategic initiatives and innovative practices that support career learning and positive post-school opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to support students and families to plan and prepare for post-school transition to further study or employment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school staff and members of the wider community and other stakeholders to establish productive partnerships and achieve educational and post-school outcomes.
- Demonstrate an innovative and agile mindset that supports and enhances a culture of continuous improvement within the school environment.
Qualifications/Accreditations
- Qualifications as a four-year trained teacher.
- Post-graduate qualifications in Career Education (desirable).
- Active NESA Accreditation.
- Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
- Completion of anaphylaxis training.
- Completion of CPR training.
Conditions of Employment
Salary is in accordance with Current South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
