This role is responsible for developing, establishing and maintaining Trek’s Global marketing strategies to meet Trek Australia’s own objectives. This includes effective management of all marketing, advertising and promotional activities. The Marketing Manager is a decision maker in the Senior Manager group and is ultimately responsible for the marketing budget at Trek Australia/ New Zealand.Reports to the General Manager, ANZ and to the APAC Director of Marketing.What you will be doing:Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activitiesManage and integrate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities with Trek Australia’s sales and strategic goalsManage the Retail Marketing, Digital and Brand/Product team membersDevelop a detailed marketing plan for Trek Australia/New ZealandConduct market research to determine market requirements for Trek Australia consumers and dealers existing and future productsAnalysis of current market conditions and competitor informationManage the productivity of the marketing team plans and projectsMonitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results to both the Trek Australia General Manager and Trek APAC Marketing DirectorManage the marketing budgetDeliver marketing activity within agreed budgetDevelop pricing strategies with the Sales and Forecasting team as part of the annual bike and P & A line upLiaison with media and advertisingControl and run sponsorship and ambassador programs as you see fitTravel to global marketing meetings and partake in regular marketing meetingsWhat you will bring:High performer with a willingness to roll up your sleeves, and lead the team from the frontA passion for bikes ideally, or more broadly sport, fitness, and/or healthA tertiary Marketing degree and/or 5+ years marketing experience across a variety of functions including strategy, digital, retail, events, advertising, sponsorship and/or other traditional channelsCustomer-first in your approach, and have experience in understanding audiences and their journeys to purchaseGood communicator who can have a chat with just about anybodyHighly organised; you like to have your marketing calendar planned out months in advance so you’re not scrambling to meet deadlinesWilling to travel up to 6 weeks per year to support events, retail stores and the broader marketing teamExperience in managing a budget, and aligning the budget with key business objectives and initiativesAn inspirational leader, who can get the best out of their people.A commitment to having funCombine your marketing experience with your passion for bikes and join the Trek Bicycle Family.
