SYPAQ is seeking an Operations Manager – Consulting who will report directly to the General Manager - Consulting. This permanent position is based in the SYPAQ Corporate offices located in Bertie St, Port Melbourne.
Working as the Operations Manager you will use your skills and experience to Lead and Manage, formally and informally, parts of the Consulting overhead and operations teams. This role ensures the effective management of RFQTS's from multiple Head Panel Deeds. From bid to delivery, the successful candidate will be adept at delivering customer service, commercial and administrative services. Supporting the General Manager – Consulting, to efficiently and effectively undertake supervision and delivery of all professional services. An outcome focused, growth mindset is essential.
The role will require hands-on processing (Microsoft Office, NetSuite, OpenAir, Atlassian Confluence and Jira), with a focus on supervision and management of the bid teams to deliver accurate and successful tender responses.
Your duties will include but not limited to;
Bid Establishment and Costing
* Confirming the budgeted details in Opportunities are accurate and complete
* Responding to Tenders and lodging all relevant bid materials on time
* Provision and development of ad-hoc reports as required to assist managers.
* Follow up to ensure data in financial systems matches Consulting workflows in Atlassian Confluence
Service Delivery
* Supervision of customer accounts as required
* Management of client processes from Day 1 to last day
* Ensuring Project records are up to date and compliant with SYPAQ's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
Hands On Skills
* Intensive use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook - ESSENTIAL
* Atlassian Confluence and Jira - DESIRABLE
* Growth Mindset and Outcome Focused - ESSENTIAL
* Commercial Acumen - ESSENTIAL
* Excellent Written, Oral and Presentation Skills - ESSENTIAL
About you
* A degree in Business, Engineering, ICT Or Project / Programme Management
* Professional services or engineering experience in Defence Industry is desirable (Projects)
* Ability to hold and maintain Defence Security Clearance – Minimum Baseline
