Pharmacy Inventory Controller - Full Time

Elements Healthcare is seeking a reliable, organised, and detail-focused Pharmacy Inventory Controller to join our busy pharmacy team.
This is a key operational role responsible for maintaining accurate stock control, supporting purchasing processes, managing supplier orders, monitoring stock movement, and ensuring medication and healthcare product availability across our pharmacy services.
We are looking for someone who takes ownership, enjoys structure, and understands that accurate inventory management is critical to safe and efficient pharmacy operations.
About the Role
The Pharmacy Inventory Controller will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day stock management within the pharmacy, including ordering, receipting, stock rotation, expiry date management, supplier communication, and stocktake preparation.
This role will work closely with pharmacists, dispensary staff, aged care packing teams, retail staff, and management to ensure stock is available, accurate, and well controlled.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily stock ordering and replenishment requirements
* Receive and process supplier deliveries accurately
* Monitor stock levels and identify shortages, overstocking, or slow-moving items
* Assist with purchasing from wholesalers and preferred suppliers
* Maintain accurate inventory records within pharmacy systems
* Conduct regular stock checks and assist with stocktakes
* Monitor expiry dates and coordinate stock rotation
* Investigate stock discrepancies and follow up variances
* Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, credits, returns, and out-of-stock items
* Support the dispensary, retail, and aged care pharmacy teams with stock requirements
* Maintain clean, organised, and compliant stock storage areas
* Assist with improving stock control processes and workflow efficiency
About You
The successful applicant will be organised, reliable, and confident working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will have strong attention to detail and be comfortable working with computer systems, stock records, and supplier processes.
You will ideally have:
* Previous experience in pharmacy, inventory control, warehousing, purchasing, or stock management
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good computer and data-entry skills
* A practical, problem-solving approach
* A commitment to accuracy, compliance, and patient safety
Previous pharmacy experience is highly regarded, but applicants with strong inventory control, purchasing, or warehouse experience will also be considered.
