About the role
PGH Bricks is part of CSR and one of Australia's most established building products manufacturers. Our Oxley site is a fast-paced, heavy industrial environment where safety, quality and consistency matter.
We are currently recruiting two Production Operators to join our team, supporting critical unloading and production operations.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will operate a complete section of the plant and play a key role in manufacturing high-quality bricks. This is a hands-on role for someone who is mechanically minded, safety focused, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
You'll work across a rotating roster of 12-hour shifts:
* Day shift: 6:00am – 6:00pm
* Night shift: 6:00pm – 6:00am
* 2 days / 2 nights / 4 days off
Key responsibilities
* Complete quality pre-start and safety checklists
* Operate fixed and mobile plant to meet production targets
* Maintain and improve daily production performance
* Follow work instructions, procedures and best practices
* Conduct housekeeping and general plant duties
* Inspect bricks at sorting stations for squareness, colour, texture, chipping and cracking
* Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities
* Current forklift licence – essential
* Experience operating machinery in a production or heavy industrial environment
* Strong commitment to safety and following procedures
* High attention to detail and quality standards
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
* Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
* Reliable, team-oriented attitude
