Role Summary
As a Field Robotics Engineer (formerly Field Services Technician) at Carbon Robotics, you are responsible for ensuring customer success through implementation and support of our LaserWeeder equipment. You will own, schedule, and prioritize maintenance tasks, conduct operator training, provide agronomic recommendations, and serve as a liaison between customers and our engineering, product, and sales teams.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Train operators and all farm personnel necessary to implement Carbon Robotics equipment.
* Serve as the lead point of contact for assigned accounts.
* Learn, teach, and manage every facet of equipment usage—transportation, maintenance, field utilization, and operation.
* Schedule, coordinate, and prioritize bi‐weekly maintenance tasks on Slayers in collaboration with the support team.
* Own quality of work and PM scheduling.
* Report immediately to Support and Ops Management teams any event, condition, or circumstance that could injure another employee, damage equipment, reduce customer confidence, or impair service.
* Recommend process improvements to enhance support reliability.
* Troubleshoot and report weeding quality issues in collaboration with support.
Skills & Abilities
* Manage multiple projects and solve a range of technical, personnel, and customer problems.
* Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
* Read and interpret electrical diagrams.
* Communicate clearly across platforms with diverse stakeholders.
* Document issues and processes clearly.
Qualifications and Experience
* 5+ years experience in agriculture, working with growers and farming equipment.
* Professional acumen to deliver compelling demonstrations and address technical questions from growers to facilitate sales.
* Excellent people skills to develop rapport and build trust with growers and dealers.
* Mechanically inclined; troubleshoot and repair Carbon Robotics Laser Weeding equipment.
* Computer literate and capable of installing and updating software, uploading logs, and tagging images.
* Flexible and adaptable; thrive in a startup environment with limited resources.
* Comfortable driving a truck and trailer to transport equipment for demos and deliveries.
* Travel required at 50% plus.
