Eligibility

Department for Health and Wellbeing – Public Health – Blood, Organ and Tissue Programs (BOT)

* Multiclass – Full Time / Term Contract up to 2 Years
* Salary Range: $108,109 to $116,864 – ASO7
* Salary Range: $110,696 to $120,470 – PO4

Overview:

* Responsible for providing high-level support for:
* The development of organ and tissue related services;
* The implementation and maintenance of the regulatory functions related to oversight of Schools of Anatomy;
* The strategic management of programs and projects concerning the supply and use of blood and blood products.

These functions will support the development of State-wide policies and programs that promote good clinical practice, optimal use of donated blood, organs, and tissues, and fulfill State Government obligations under national agreements and relevant legislation.

For PO4:

* The incumbent will also provide advice to the unit, the Department, or other stakeholders in areas related to health science and related fields, as requested.

Appointment to the classification will depend on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

* A 'National Police Certificate' (NPC) or 'Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check' (NCCHC) is required for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups.

Immunisation risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact).

SA Health Services must implement the Addressing Vaccine-Preventable Disease Policy regarding occupational assessment, screening, and vaccination in the workplace.

Special Conditions

* A flexible approach to leave is required.
* Some after-hours work may be necessary.
* Intra- and interstate travel may be required for inter-jurisdictional committees and industry events.
