The Learning Enhancement Leader plays a pivotal role in supporting and enriching the educational journey of students with diverse learning needs. This position ensures that all students can access and achieve success in alignment with the Disability Discrimination Act (1992), the Disability Standards for Education (2005), and the policies of Victory Lutheran College.
In this leadership role, you will guide and support a team of Learning Enhancement Assistants, working collaboratively with classroom teachers, families, and external professionals. Your focus will be on fostering inclusive, differentiated, and engaging learning environments that empower every student. You will champion student voice, goal setting, and agency, while using data to inform targeted programs and monitor student progress.

Key Selection Criteria
Demonstrated leadership in inclusive education and team management
Proven ability to lead a team supporting diverse learners, including the coordination, coaching, and performance management of staff. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing inclusive programs, in line with the Disability Discrimination Act, Disability Standards for Education, and best practice pedagogy.
Expertise in curriculum adaptation and student support planning
Extensive experience designing, reviewing, and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Learning Profiles, and curriculum modifications that uphold student dignity, align with curriculum standards, and promote engagement, wellbeing, and academic progress.
Highly developed communication and collaboration skills
Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills to effectively engage with students, staff, families, and external professionals. Capacity to lead sensitive conversations, advocate for student needs, and navigate complex scenarios with clarity, empathy, and a solution-focused mindset.
Strong data literacy and working knowledge of the NCCD process
Demonstrated ability to use learning, wellbeing, and engagement data to inform decisions, evaluate program effectiveness, and meet compliance requirements. A thorough understanding of the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) framework, including documentation, evidence gathering, and its alignment with the Disability Discrimination Act (1992) and Disability Standards for Education (2005).
