VMware Consultant
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement standard VMware solutions
* Lead small projects or workstreams
* Manage VMware infrastructure including compute, storage, and networking
* Handle cluster configurations and performance tuning
* Support hybrid/cloud-based VMware environments
* Create and maintain technical documentation
Required Skills
* Strong hands‐on experience with VMware vSphere
* Solid understanding of HA, DRS, lifecycle management
* Experience with distributed switches and NIC teaming
* Storage knowledge including SAN/NAS and VMware vSAN
* Exposure to VMware NSX (basic to intermediate)
* Backup/DR solutions and cloud platforms (VMware Cloud, Azure VMware Solution, etc.)
Troubleshooting Skills
* Diagnose CPU, memory, and storage performance issues
* Resolve cluster, host, and network configuration issues
* Log analysis and root cause identification
Certifications
* VCP (mandatory), working towards VCAP preferred
Additional Notes
* Expected to deliver independently
* Strong ownership of assigned tasks/projects
