Overview
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Advisor to support the Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) function within a large and complex public sector organisation. This role contributes to the delivery of value-for-money procurement outcomes through expert management of acquisition planning, market approaches, negotiations, and purchase recommendations.

Responsibilities
* Provide advisory and support services regarding procurement procedures and relevant government procurement policies.
* Contribute to and review procurement documentation including acquisition plans, market approaches, evaluation plans, negotiation plans, and purchase recommendations.
* Lead the establishment of low to medium risk government contracts to meet customer requirements.
* Undertake procurement and contract engagement activities in compliance with commercial, financial, and legal requirements.
* Manage procurement projects including development and implementation of arrangements under Whole of Government, Whole of Department, and agency-specific contracts.
* Identify opportunities to improve procurement outcomes, efficiencies, and value for money.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement processes and systems.
* Support a culture of change and continuous improvement within the Department.
Your Profile
We're looking for a procurement professional with at least two years' experience in public sector sourcing. You'll be confident developing procurement documentation, leading contract establishment, and navigating government procurement frameworks.
Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and ethical decision-making are key. You'll be agile in fast-paced environments, handle sensitive information with care, and bring a solid understanding of WH&S and diversity principles.
Experience in both sourcing and contract management is highly desirable.
