What you'll deliver: Reporting to the CFO and working very closely with the CEO, this role is the senior accounting, governance and compliance lead within the finance function. As Financial Controller, you will be the custodian of financial truth, risk management and compliance discipline across the group. You'll provide technical leadership, challenge where needed, and ensure the business is always audit-ready, regulator-ready and board-ready. You will own the integrity of financial reporting, internal controls and statutory compliance, while the CFO focuses on strategy, funding and growth, and the Financial Accountant manages day-to-day accounting operations. Key responsibilities: Own internal controls, governance and financial compliance Ensure audit readiness and lead external audits Own monthly, quarterly and statutory reporting (AASB / IFRS) Sign off month-end close and balance sheet integrity Provide guidance on complex accounting matters Lead and mentor the Financial Accountant Strengthen finance processes, documentation and controls Ensure systems and reporting scale with growth Review cash flow, capital and funding reporting Support commercial and growth initiatives Who you are: This position will appeal to a Financial Controller who values quality, accountability, and influence, and who wants to be closely involved in how a growing business is run. You're CA or CPA qualified, with proven experience as a Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or equivalent and you'll bring strong technical accounting and statutory reporting capability, have led audits, and take real ownership of governance and controls. You're calm, confident and credible, and you're comfortable working closely with senior leaders, challenging constructively, and operating hands-on in a small, high-performing team. You value rigour, judgement and doing things properly. Experience in professional services, regulated or complex environments, or within a scaling organisation will be highly regarded, as will a strong preventative risk mindset.
