ABOUT THE ROLE
As an In-House Practice Reviewer, you'll be part of a small, passionate team transforming our Quality Review Program - a cornerstone of co-regulation in the Australian accounting profession. Our Professional Standards team plays a vital role in upholding the integrity of the CA designation through education, monitoring, and advocacy.
You will be responsible for conducting practice reviews, preparing reports, and sharing your expertise to promote continuous improvement within the accounting profession.
**Key Responsibilities will include**:
- Conduct practice reviews both onsite and remotely to ensure compliance with professional standards and legislation.
- Complete applicable documentation and prepare detailed reports in line with our policies and procedures.
- Provide constructive feedback and practical guidance to help members enhance their systems of quality control.
- Support members through the review process by sharing knowledge, tools, and resources.
- Build and maintain respectful, professional relationships with members and internal stakeholders.
- Represent CA ANZ with integrity and professionalism, upholding the values and standards of the organisation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance review tools and processes
- Assist with the onboarding of independent contractor practice reviewers.
- Perform peer reviews to ensure consistency of outcomes.
ABOUT YOU
You'll be a CA with extensive experience in public practice and external audit, a solid grasp of Australian and international standards, and a high level of professionalism. You'll also possess:
- 10+ years' experience in public practice (accounting firm or related role) at a senior level
- Strong knowledge of Australian and international accounting, auditing, professional standards, along with other applicable legislative and regulatory requirements (recent external audit experience is essential)
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and big-picture thinking
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Strong relationship management and influencing capabilities
- Proven professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
- Skilled in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Tech-savvy and comfortable in a digital, paperless environment
- Flexibility to travel regularly.
**Desired Experience**:
- Experience as a principal or partner (or equivalent) in a CA public practice firm.
- Currently hold or have held a CA ANZ Certificate of Public Practice
- Quality management role experience in a public practice firm.
