About the Opportunity

We're looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our Finance team and support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services.

In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing across a dynamic workforce of over 400 employees where payroll can involve a range of complexities such as variable incentives, terminations, and regulatory requirements. You'll play a key role in ensuring accuracy and compliance, while supporting employees and stakeholders with a high level of professionalism.

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and values precision, ownership, and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

* End-to-end payroll processing for a monthly payroll
* Manage employee lifecycle activities including new starters, terminations, and payroll changes
* Process salary payments, incentives, allowances, and various payroll adjustments
* Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation requirements
* Prepare and lodge STP and payroll tax obligations
* Perform payroll reconciliations, including month-end reporting and journals
* Respond to payroll queries and provide support to employees and stakeholders
* Assist with reporting, audits, and general payroll administration

You are a reliable and organised payroll professional with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

You enjoy working in a role where payroll is not always straightforward and are confident managing complexity while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

* Comprehensive experience managing the full payroll lifecycle
* Strong understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirements
* Experience managing complex payroll elements (e.g. incentives, terminations, adjustments)
* Good Excel skills and confidence working with payroll systems (e.g. ADP, Workday, or similar)
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong communication skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders
* Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively
* A positive, team-oriented attitude
