This is an exciting time to join NRW Civil and Mining as we are now seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer for newly awarded work in Darwin. This role will be offered on a DIDO basis from Darwin or FIFO from Perth or Adelaide on a 2:2 roster.
To be considered for this position you must possess the following as a minimum:
* Extensive experience working in a production mining environment within Australia
* Previous experience in a Senior Mining Engineer or similar role
* Strong experience in short- and medium-term mine planning and scheduling
* Strong experience in Drill and Blast design
* Proven ability to lead, develop and mentor within a high-performing team
* Previous experience Lithium or Gold projects highly regarded
* Strong time management and organisational skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Current Australian Driver’s Licence
* Experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi equipment (desirable)
* Previous experience in a site-based role (FIFO/DIDO highly regarded)
* Ideally Darwin Based
As a Senior Mining Engineer you will be responsible for but not limited to:
* Developing and delivering safe and optimal short- and medium-term mine plans and schedules
* Monitoring and optimising production performance in line with targets
* Liaising closely with operations teams to ensure production and cost targets are achieved
* Designing and implementing mine plans, including drill and blast activities
* Supporting contractor management and ensuring alignment with project requirements
* Promoting a safe, healthy work environment and strong safety culture
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across mining operations
* Reviewing plans and schedules to ensure alignment with client expectations
* Maintaining strong relationships with client representatives on technical and operational matters
