Role Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist to deliver end-to-end recruitment support, securing high-quality candidates for key roles across Equans ANZ. This role is pivotal in building a strong talent pipeline and advancing our recruitment strategy, employee value proposition (EVP), and employer brand across Australia and New Zealand. Beyond general recruitment, you will take ownership of the Apprenticeship program, including engaging with educational institutions, ensuring the successful attraction, support, and progression of apprentices within the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead recruitment activities for both white collar and blue collar roles to maintain effective staffing levels.
* Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to attract active and passive candidates.
* Support hiring managers and HR teams with recruitment best practices and process improvements.
* Ensure a positive candidate experience through proactive communication and onboarding support.
* Manage all apprenticeship administration, including:
* Acting as subject matter expert and main contact for apprenticeship queries from apprentices and managers.
* Managing apprenticeship sign-ups and cancellations nationally within required timeframes.
* Processing government apprenticeship incentives to maximise collections for Equans.
What You Need
* Minimum 5 years' recruitment experience (agency and/or in-house), preferably with blue collar technical, or trade roles at a national level with local knowledge of the trade industry (electrical, HVAC & Fire Protection).
* Experience managing apprenticeship and early careers recruitment programs.
* Strong ability to build talent pipelines and manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and prioritisation skills.
* Experience working with modern awards and EBAs.
* Knowledge and experience operating ATS and CRM software.
Your Skills & Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources is preferred.
* Interviewing expertise, including behavioural and competency-based techniques.
* Negotiation skills for salary and job offers.
* Networking and relationship-building with candidates and stakeholders.
* Data-driven recruitment with use of analytics and KPIs.
* Knowledge of HR compliance and employment law.
